I'm mostly posting this to have a relevant posting. I don't get onto deviantART very often, but stopped in today and someone had posted me some advice. Said poster was very nice about it and I do know I have a lot of work to do, but considering where I was (there's stuff I'm too disappointed in to post) I think I've done quite well.
I used to be interested only in the story, but now I've decided to get serious about the art side since I actually want to give this comics thing a decent go. To that end I'll hopefully be posting a bunch of stuff soon and any feedback that isn't just a variation of "you suck, never draw again" or otherwise being a @#$##%$# is unwelcome. A decent critique, even if it's one pointing out where I need work, is very much welcome. Let me know if I did something right, too.
All negative doesn't help me, either, because if I have a shot at this I would like to know. I'm negative enough to myself, but I'm always up for helpful advice, both in what I did right and wrong.
(Note: The Jake and Leon style doesn't lend itself well to multiple angles. I came up with it for a quick strip, not for serious work. I have different styles for that, so I still need to learn for those.)
